The transition to parenthood can bring joy, anticipation, and unexpected challenges. Research from The Gottman Instituteshows that many couples experience a decline in relationship satisfaction during the first few years after a baby arrives. The Bringing Baby Home workshop was developed from this research to help couples strengthen their relationship and prepare for the changes that come with parenthood. In this interactive, in-person workshop facilitated by experienced reproductive therapists, couples expecting a baby in the next three months or navigating the first year of parenting learn practical tools to deepen connection, navigate conflict, and support their child’s emotional development. Research shows couples who attend report greater relationship satisfaction and lower rates of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in the first year after birth. Couples of all backgrounds, cultures, and family paths are welcome.

This workshop is based on the research and relationship skills developed by John Gottman and Julie Gottman of The Gottman Institute and is hosted by Reproductive Resilience. Designed for partners in committed relationships of all kinds, it focuses on strengthening connection, deepening understanding, and building practical skills for navigating conflict, reducing stress, and maintaining closeness through life’s transitions.
